How to reach Mangalore?

Mangalore, also called Mangaluru, is a major city in the state of Karnataka in India on the Coast of Laccadive Sea. The city of Mangalore is well connected by air, train and bus with Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka, and with Mumbai. The nearest major international airports are Bangalore International Airport (Bangalore) and Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport (Mumbai).

The distance between the Airport and the venue is 22 kilometres. The venue is at a distance of 6 kilometres from Mangalore Junction Railway Station, and 2 kilometres from the Mangalore Central Railway Station. Buses coming from Bangalore and Mumbai stop at the conference venue.

BY TRAIN

Mangalore is well connected with all the major cities of India through the railway network. Trains go from major cities with international airports, such as Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai. There are two railway stations in Mangalore: Mangalore Junction and Mangalore Central.

BY BUS

Mangalore is also well connected by road. From Bangalore, every 30 minutes buses leave for Mangalore (day and night services). From Mumbai the number of buses is less. If you wish to travel by bus, Bangalore is the best possible place to start.

Trip to Dharmasthala

Lunch/Tea

Lunch (Vegetarian Indian cuisine) will be served at the conference venue. Coffee tea and snacks will be served in between the sessions.

Climate

Mangalore has a tropical climate. To visit it, the best period is between the months of November and February. In the month of November, the temperature varies from 23 to 31 degrees Celsius.
