5-Year Overview

Rethinking Religion in India forms a 5-year conference cluster. To achieve the overall objective of developing a new paradigm for the study of religion in India, the conference themes will be addressed at different levels. Each year, three main modules will approach the conference themes and questions from different angles: (1) Platform sessions; (2) Roundtable sessions; (3) Parallel Paper sessions. Alongside these sessions, a number of other sessions may be organised: In 2008 we had special IGNCA panels and a special IASR plenary session on 'Approaches to the academic study of religion in contemporary India'. In 2009, we will organise a number of "How to...?" workshops.
